Penumbra Theatre Company seeks creative, enthusiastic people with can-do attitudes to fill a variety of technical and non-technical support positions during the 2010 - 2011 Season. The following positions are currently open:
Responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations; Provide leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company. Report to Managing Director.
Founded in 1976, Penumbra Theatre is nationally recognized for producing high quality artistic productions through the prism of the African American experience. Most productions are presented in its theater; however, on occasion, Penumbra will present in other venues locally as well as nationally. This season’s productions will include two co-productions, a world premiere, and the beginning of a 5-year commitment to produce the August Wilson cycle tracing black American life decade by decade from 1900 to 2000. Every member of the production team is integral to the overall success of the organization and must be able to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment.
