Changes to the 2011-2012 Season |
|
In order to remain fiscally viable during the continuing economic turmoil, we have made the difficult decision to cancel two plays from the 2011-2012 season. They are Julius By Design and Bourbon at the Border. It is a painful decision to cancel shows, and it affects all of us--artists, patrons, board and staff. We apologize for the frustration and disappointment. The good news is that Two Trains Running had a successful run, the special engagement of I Wish You Love has been extended due to popular demand. The final show of the season, The Amen Corner, will be presented as originally scheduled at the Guthrie Theater. During the down time, our staff and board will implement a new business plan and artistic format that will integrate the main stage, education and new play programs in more effective and engaging ways. It won’t change what we do, but will dramatically change how we do it. RBC Wealth Management will be the presenting sponsor for the 2012-2013 inaugural season. We think you will be pleased and we are excited to share it with you this spring!
