Join our Baobab Family
For the last four decades Penumbra Theatre has served as a beacon for racial equity, inclusivity, and compassion. We have invited everyone regardless of race, creed, or class to sit in our theatre and view the American experience from the eyes of black Americans. We have hosted countless challenging and compassionate conversations to help bridge the divide between neighbors and strangers alike. We have used the tools of theatre to empower everyday people to stand up against bigotry and hate.
Please consider making a special gift to Penumbra. Your donation will help sustain one of the nation’s preeminent African American theaters—home to powerful, relevant art that moves us and challenges us to think differently.
There are three ways to support Penumbra and join our Baobab Family:
Become a Sustainer
By making a 3-year pledge as a Sustainer, you tell us what you will donate and when. This allows us to make realistic plans, reinvest wisely, and build capacity.
Your annual gift will help support the performances, screenings, and conversations you love.
Making a recurring monthly contribution is easy on your budget and there is no need to keep track of when you last gave.
