Nathan Young

As Grants Manager Nathan Young helps frame and evaluate Penumbra’s programming. Working with all staff and key stakeholders, he develops, writes, edits and coordinates proposal/report drafts for foundation and government funding opportunities. This work includes synthesizing raw data with program testimonials, studying peer programs, field reports and foundation priorities, as well as cultivating new revenue opportunities while stewarding ongoing relationships with grantmakers. Prior to Penumbra, Nathan’s worked as a curator and archivist with museums, community centers, and galleries in Minnesota and Chicago to exhibit, publish and sell art. He has two degrees, two kids, and he likes to rest and garden.
